Cotran Brand KC80 is a conformable self-fusing rubber electrical insulating and sealing tape. KC80 consists of ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) and butyl mastic adhesive. It has strong adhesion to copper, aluminum, and cable jackets. It provides excellent waterproofing performance and temperature stability at 90℃,and withstanding of overload temperature up to 130℃.
Applications
◆ Use for insulating, filling and moisture sealing in splices of all types of power cables and optical telecommunication cables. For primary insulation up to 1000 volts.
◆ Use for insulation and moisture sealing irregular shaped bus bar bolted connections
◆ Use for moisture sealing high or low voltage junction boxes and irregular splices.
◆ Moisture seal for power cable and wire connections
◆ Moisture seal for service drops
◆ Moisture seal for ground wire and rod connections
